Parents often ask when is the best time to do the first birthday session for their kids. Your baby turning 1 year old is a big milestone and it is a great age to create beautiful baby portraits.
If you plan to post pictures on Facebook or other social media or plan to send out invitations to your family and friends for your baby's first birthday, we usually suggest booking your session at least one month ahead of time to make sure you have enough time to choose the photos for editing and have them ready for you.
Along with your baby’s birthday party, a Cake Smash or Milk Bath photoshoot can be so much fun and it can easily fit into the First Birthday schedule (a day before or after works great). This is especially true for families who are planning to invite close family or friends to join the celebration.
This is what we did for baby Rebecca and her parents. Her session was so much fun! We prepared a beautiful white, cream cake and decorated it with white roses. She was wearing a beautiful light purple dress with lace and flowers, and her mother wore a matching long purple dress. Father and daughter both had huge smiles as they posed for the camera. A beautiful golden cake stand and a nice vintage doll added a light stylistic touch to the beautiful baby portraits. It turned out so great as Rebecca was giving us all kinds of beautiful smiles.
